A third-generation cleaning family
DrapeCare is run by Elijah Burr. Both of his grandfathers started cleaning companies in the early 1970s, his parents took them over, and he has worked in the trade since he was old enough to carry a trash can across a job site.
Why drapes and rugs
Most cleaning companies won't touch drapery on the rod, and most rug plants won't come to the house. Fine homes need both, done by someone who knows how fabric behaves. We started cleaning drapes in place because it's better for the fabric and the household, and the before and after photos made the case for us.
Growing up between two family businesses meant learning two ways of doing every job: different chemistry, different tools, different habits. That's where the test-first approach comes from. Every fabric gets checked before it gets cleaned.
The teams behind it
The work is done by our own people: our Florida team in Orlando, and Clean Pros TN in Knoxville, open since 2011. Both handle water and fire restoration too, so a leak never means waiting on a stranger.
